Muhammad Dawud Studio:
2024 - 2221

Muhammad Dawud is a prophet, artist, architect, fashion designer, and life coach.

His inter-disciplinary practice is a testament to the glory of God, as well as the ability of our African American in America; Who has to overcome poverty, systemic racism, mental illness, and sexual abuse - Just to have a seat at the table, as a contemporary artist in America.

The purpose of Muhammad Dawud Studio is to expand the possibilities of art, while also engaging my audience in geological, historical, and evangelical theories.

ART

First, I would like to start by saying that it is testament to the glory of God to be where I am. I’ve always been different, and I’ve never ran away from being me. I will continue create prolific art, that represents the culture of the world, because it is what I love to do.

My works are a tangible reflection of where I’ve landed as an artist in the society that we live in. Knowing the importance of our carbon footprint, as well as the need to drawdown our resources to mitigate climate change, the focus of my art will be focused on found art, as well recycling, and reclaimed materials. We are at a point in society, where we are either creating for Mother Nature, or actively destroying her.

As I enter the next phase of my career, moving from a conventional artist, to a studio artist, my main objectives are gallery representation, and International Exhibitions.

MUSIC

I’ve been in a few bands, chartered a few music festivals, and made it a point to be actively engaged in the DFW music scene.

Music has, and always will be my first love. It started as a kid, when I was was trusted with flipping the vinyl records at social gatherings. I played a little trumpet as a kid, learned classical theory in orchestra, and perfected performance art as an award winning percussionist in high school.

Some of my greatest moments came as a percussionist with the NATO ISAF KAF Gospel Choir, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

There are plans being set in motion for a music festival, and I am currently recording my first solo album, set to release in Summer 2026.

FASHION

I want to start this by saying that I am the most confident, best looking, best dressed, most fashionable person that you’ve ever met (Humbly, of course).

Everything that I put together is effortless, and it probably has something to do with being that inner-city kid that made it. I grew up painting my Cross Trekkers, because they weren’t Nike or Adidas. I would dye my jeans, and customize shirts to complete my statement.

That would lead to me buying my first Super 150’s wool suit in Dubai. I took that momentum and turned it into being a semi-finalist for Esquire Magazine’s Best Dressed Real Man in America (2007).

Fashion has always enthralled me, and I enjoy collaborating with models, and designers, as well as working hard to launch the PAYDIYAH Clothing Company in Fall 2025.

PHILANTHROPY

One of my favorite duties as an artist is giving back to the community. I take it personally that I am not able to give as much as I would like to. From community cleanups to gardens, It is my goal to make Muhammad Dawud Studio synonymous with community involvement, and economic development.

MDS will create and incubate dynamic change, by implementing programs, events, and solutions with all of my peers, mentors, family, friends, and loved ones, to ensure that no kid is left behind, and that every child has the opportunity to create, collaborate, and think critically about their future, as well as solve problems that present themselves with our future generation.

I am currently creating an organization that will focus on uplifting young artists and creatives.
